This page lists and explains the properties defining the Objectives and sub-objectives throughout their lifecycle in the OKR module.

Objective creation

The following attributes are defined during the creation of the Objective and sub-objective. Each of those characteristics can be edited on the OKR details page.

Name

A descriptive name of the goal.

Description

A brief description of the Objective for stakeholders.

Period

Defines the timeframe for completing the Objective.

Expected start

Expected start date of the Objective.

Expected end

Expected end date of the Objective.

Type

Marks the Objective type (for example, company, team, personal). OKR types can be customized.

Owner

The assignee who is responsible for delivering the Objective.

By default, it is the person who created the Objective, but it can be edited.

Collaborators

Team members/ other stakeholders responsible for the Objective.

Teams

Teams involved in delivering the Objective.

Labels

A descriptive tag that is used for categorizing and organizing Objectives.

Contribution (Weight)

It reflects how much a sub-objective contributes to its parent Objective's progress upon full completion.

By default, all OKRs under the same Objective share the contribution equally, but you can edit contribution values for individual sub-objectives (and Key Results).

Objective update

You can also come across specific Objective attributes when updating its status and progress.

(Progress) Status

Objective’s status that reflects its standing in relation to progress: Not started; On track; At risk; Off track.

Statuses cannot be customized.

Current value

This value indicates the Objective progress. This field must be manually updated for Objectives in the manual mode. Auto-Objectives have this field grayed out.

Comment

Comments provide more information about the update.

Objective closure

There is a set of specific attributes related to Objective closure.

(Closure) Status

Objective’s status that indicates the reason for closing it: Success; Incomplete; Failed; Rescheduled; Canceled.

Statuses cannot be customized.

Close the Objective screen.

Gives more insight into why the Objective/sub-objective was closed.

Final grade

An arbitrary grade on a scale of 0 to 1 reflects the level of goal achievement.
