Reopen OKR
Overview
Reopening closed OKRs is the process of revisiting and reactivating an OKR that was previously marked as Closed. There are various reasons why a team or individual might choose to reopen an OKR, such as:
If an Objective was closed but some key results were not fully achieved, or more time is needed to finish the work, reopening the OKR gives the opportunity to continue making progress.
Sometimes, business needs or goals shift, and a previously closed OKR can need to be reopened to reflect new priorities or requirements.
After closing an OKR, if it is realized that certain key results were not measured properly or there were discrepancies in the evaluation, reopening the OKR allows for reassessment and correction.
If new information, insights, or feedback emerge after the OKR has been closed, reopening the OKR could help apply those learnings more effectively to achieving the Objective.
Reopening closed OKRs can also be part of a continuous improvement process, where an Objective is revisited to ensure that its results are sustained and any further improvements can be tracked.
Reopen OKR
You can reopen Objectives, sub-objectives, and Key Results only on their respective details pages.
On the OKR details page, open the dropdown under More actions (…).
Select Reopen.
The OKR is now open again.
