Portfolio boxes
About the portfolio boxes
Portfolio boxes in BigPicture are a key feature for managing and organizing large sets of projects or initiatives within a portfolio.
These boxes allow you to group multiple projects, tasks, and teams into a single portfolio, providing an overarching view of all related activities.
With portfolio boxes, you can track progress, manage resources, and ensure alignment across different projects. They help streamline portfolio management by offering better visibility, control, and the ability to prioritize initiatives based on strategic goals or dependencies.
Roll up data from child boxes
The core purpose of the portfolio box is to keep all your projects and initiatives organized and to provide visibility into the child boxes' progress, resource workload, and allocation across multiple boxes.
Track child box statuses and progress in the Overview module
Visualize and manage tasks in child boxes in the Gantt module
Track the capacity and workload of resources in child boxes in the Resources module
You can use all the module’s features, including the search bar and filters, task grouping, and swimlane grouping, to fine-tune the view.
