Configure the limit for List Data items
Overview
From version 8.21.0 onwards, Scaffolding allows Confluence administrators to set the default limit for List Data items. The processing stops when this limit is exceeded, and an error message is displayed.
Understand List Data limitations
The List Data macro provides data options from a specific list. However, processing many List Data items when the type parameter is set to check or select can result in performance issues for Confluence.
If there are many items, selecting an option from a long list of radio buttons, checkboxes, or dropdown menus can be tedious. In that use case, setting the type parameter of the parent List Data to Auto Complete is more appropriate.
Enable or disable the List Data limit
This feature is enabled by default when upgrading to Scaffolding 8.21.0. The default limit value is 250.
Select Administration ( ) > Manage apps.
Go to SCAFFOLDING CONFIGURATION in the sidebar and click Settings.
In the List Data limit settings section, click Edit.
Use the Enabled toggle to enable or disable the List Data limit setting.
In the List Data limit field, update the value to set a new limit.
Click Save.
