Our team is thrilled to announce the latest release of Power Custom Fields, version 7.1.1000.0. This release introduces enhanced option type management with value synchronization, extends dependent fields functionality to all select-type custom fields, adds configurable export formats for multiple-option fields, improves performance in JSM portal, and strengthens security controls, along with several stability improvements.

New features

Option type changes with value synchronization

Power Custom Fields now supports a more controlled approach to changing field option types. When converting data option types (issue, project, user, group, version, and component picker) to string type, users can automatically synchronize existing field values through a new synchronization prompt. This feature ensures data integrity by allowing users to either synchronize values immediately or schedule the synchronization later from the Maintenance tab, providing a smooth transition while preventing unintended data conversions.

Configurable export formats for Power Custom Fields

Added new export format options for multiple-option Power Custom Fields (Checkbox, Multi Select, Multiple Autocomplete, Radio Buttons, Single Autocomplete, and Single Select). Users can now choose between Historical (label with value), JSON (complete data structure), Labels only, or Values only formats when exporting issues to CSV, Excel or HTML. This flexibility allows for better integration with external systems and improved reporting capabilities based on specific use cases.

Enhancements

Extended dependent fields functionality for all select-type custom fields

Added support for dependent fields across all select-type Power custom fields. Users can now configure field dependencies for PCF - Single Select, PCF - Single Autocomplete, PCF - Multi Select, and PCF - Multiple Autocomplete fields. This improvement provides more flexibility in managing related field values.

Improved Service Portal Field Loading Performance

Optimized Power Custom Fields loading in Jira Service Management by implementing request type-specific field loading. The portal now loads only the fields relevant to the current request type, resulting in improved performance and faster page loads.

Security update: Enhanced REST endpoint authorization controls

Security improvements have been implemented to strengthen permission validation for Power Custom Fields REST endpoints.

Bug fixes

The following bugs are fixed in this release:

• Resolved an issue with the migration of PCF fields using Cloud Migration Assistant for Jira.

• Fixed an issue in the Power Custom Fields add-on where Live Fields were not triggering when navigating between a newly created request and the Portal Landing page in Jira Service Management.

• Fixed SIL Script Custom Fields configuration page incorrectly redirecting on Jira instances with altered base URLs.
