Power Suite Apps tools and utilities

Power Suite Apps for Jira includes the SIL Manager and several management tools shared across all apps in the suite. These tools help administrators develop scripts, monitor performance, manage custom fields, and efficiently use workflows.

SIL Manager

The primary tool for creating and editing scripts. Features syntax highlighting, autocomplete, source file management, script execution, and log viewing capabilities. While you can edit various file types, script development is the main focus and default view.

SIL Manager provides a comprehensive development workspace with an organized file tree, bottom tabs for viewing logs and output, and helpful side panels for quick access to documentation and settings. The tool includes keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation, a built-in help panel, configurable settings, and useful features like script snippets for common code patterns. Additionally, a beta script debugger is available to help troubleshoot and refine your scripts.

Performance and monitoring

A collection of performance tools designed to give you insight into script activity and confidence around performance.

Workflow viewer

The Workflow Viewer displays the information needed for a workflow or a draft workflow associated with a given project. It is only available with Power Scripts for Jira.

Switch user

The Switch User feature allows administrators to switch to any user without knowing their password.

Custom field usage

Helps administrators track how custom fields are used across configuration schemes, projects, screens, and scripts, making it easier to understand dependencies before making changes. Note that this tool is not available in Power Custom Fields and Power Actions apps, as these apps have their own specialized field management capabilities.
