Manage issue schemes 3.9

Issue schemes comprise a group of issues that can be used while creating a project. Selecting an issue scheme within a project template will pre-populate the associated set of issues into any project created from that template.

Create new issue scheme

  1. From the Cog menu , select Manage apps.
  2. Locate the Delegated Project Creator section in the left sidebar and select Issue Schemes to display the Issue Schemes page.
  3. Add Scheme Name and Description as required.
  4. Click Add to add the scheme to the list of schemes in the page.

Delete, copy, or edit a scheme

In the Issue Schemes page,

  • Click Delete () next to an existing issue scheme to delete the respective scheme. A confirmation message is displayed with the associated list of project templates. Click Yes to delete. 
  • Click Copy () next to an existing issue scheme to copy the respective scheme.
  • Click Edit () next to an existing issue scheme to edit the respective scheme. You are navigated to the issue scheme page, which displays a list of existing associated issues. You can add issues to the scheme from this page by:
    • Import from project - Click this button to view the Import issues from project window where you can select a project to import the issues from. Select Yes or No to retain epic links (if any) for issues from the parent project or not respectively.
      Select or de-select the respective issues you require by using the check-boxes in the Select Issue column. Refer to the following example:

    • Create new issue - Click this button to create a new issue and associate it with the scheme. Refer to the following example:

      Use drag and drop ( ) to:
      • rearrange the order of issues on this page.
      • associate a sub-task to any task or feature you intend to.

        • The hierarchy of the issues from the project that the issue scheme is imported from, is retained as is. Use drag and drop to modify the hierarchy.
        • When a project is created using any issue scheme, the respective hierarchy of the issues is copied to the newly created project.
        • The Epic Link field is displayed based on the Issue Type value selected in the Create new issue window.
        • An orphaned sub-task sitting on the top of the issues list is highlighted with a warning () icon next to the sub-task in the Issue Type column.
        • The epic link(s) that are not associated with an active project yet are highlighted with a asterisk (*) in the Epic Link field.
