Request new project 3.9

If an Administrator has given you the Request New Projects permission, then you can submit a request to have a new project created by performing the following:

  1. From the Projects menu, select Request New Project.

  2. The Request new project screen is displayed, listing each project template that has been defined by the Jira Administrator. 

  3. Click Request next to the intended template to begin your request for a new project. The following screen is displayed so that you can indicate the details of your new project:

    To assign a user as Project Owner, start typing into the field provided to select a user from the auto-suggestions. If an Administrator has configured additional questions about your request, then answers to those must be filled in as well.



  4. Click Back at any time to return to the preceding screen. 

    • If you want to drop your request, click Cancel.

    • When you have answered all of the required questions, click Submit to submit your request. A confirmation screen is displayed.

  5. Click Done if you are finished or Request another project if you have more requests to submit.
