Current value and status

  • Objective progress is calculated automatically based on its key results. You cannot edit the objective’s value directly.

  • To update progress and status:

    • For KRs, update the current value and status directly.

    • For objectives, update the status only.

KR start value and desired value

  • You can update the start and desired values of a KR (which you set when creating it) after clicking a pencil icon located on the progress chart.

  • Change the values in the new window.

    Changing start and desired values.
  • Click Submit after changing the values.

The start value is the value with which you start at the beginning of the period. If you start a new project, it will most likely be a 0. For example, if you plan to reduce the number of bugs in your system from X to Y, then X will be the start value.

The desired value is the value you plan to achieve in the OKR period. If you have a binary goal (to do something or learn something), then the desired value would be either 1 or 100.
