Ensure you have the latest Atlassian Migration Assistant installed in your server/data center instance

You need a Confluence server version that supports migration.

For Confluence v6.13+ the Atlassian Migration Assistant is installed when you set up your instance. You need to simply check in Confluence global administration that you have the latest update for the Atlassian Migration Assistant.

If you have Confluence v5.10 - v6.12 you need to install the Atlassian Migration Assistant. It is recommended however that you have the most recent version of Confluence possible prior to migration.

You should also have the most recent version of our Comala Publishing for Server app installed. If required, you can simply install a trial version licence for the purposes of migration.

The Atlassian migration assistant in cloud also checks and amends data errors. These checks include

  • migration assistant app is up to date

  • users have valid and unique email addresses

  • groups will merge through the migration process

  • spaces already exist in your Cloud site

The latest Atlassian Migration assistant in the Vendor App checks displays details of any page with page restrictions that prevent migration of the Comala Publishing publishing status. These page restrictions need to be removed prior to migration.
