Wiki Markup and the new XHTML storage format
Both XHTML and wiki-style formats are still supported.
However, it is important to note that excerpts defined with the two separate XHTML and wiki-markup formats do not interact.
For example, a MultiExcerpt defined in wiki-style format cannot be rendered by an XHTML style MultiExcerpt Include macro.

Solution
Though hardly ideal, you can wrap an old style wiki markup "multi-excerpt" in a new Rich Macro style "multi-excerpt" and then reference the same content from either type of multi-excerp-include as shown:
