Create a link for adding pages from a template
Scenario
To guide Confluence users in content creation, you can provide one-click links for creating structured pages. These auto-generated pages can:
Automatically use a Confluence template or page as the base structure.
Automatically suggest a page title.
Automatically categorize a page under a parent page.
Automatically add labels to the page.

Create the link
As a Confluence space administrator, create a form for adding pages about the organization products.
Create a space template named
Product templateand populate it with the base structure for the product pages.Create a page named
Productsand insert the Add Page macro.For the Create link text parameter, enter
Create a product page.
Confluence users will see this text when viewing the link on the page.To configure the base structure for the generated pages, specify the following Page source parameters:
Set Source type to Template/blueprint to use a Confluence template as the base for the new pages.
From the Source drop-down list, select the Confluence template you created in step 1, that is, Product template.
For the Parent parameter, leave the default Current page value.
This setting creates new pages as child pages of the page that hosts the link.Expand the Configure page title prefix/postfix section and set the Page title prefix parameter to
Product -. This setting ensures that all new pages are named Product - <Product Name>.The titles of all pages begin with Product.
The editor can add the specific product name to the page title.
For the Labels parameter, enter
product.
This setting adds the product label to the new pages.Click Insert.
Optionally, insert the Child Pages macro.
Click Publish.
Create a page using the link
As a Confluence page editor, to create a page for a product using the link:
On the Products page, click the Create a product page link.
A page draft, named Product -, opens in edit mode. It contains the Product template content.Add the product name to the page title.
Fill out the template for the corresponding product.
Click Publish.
The page is created as a child page of the Products page.
