Change custom field name or description
The Change custom field name or description action will update the label or description of a field in the selected screens. For fields that do not have a description, an Information icon ( ) will be added next to the field name; this icon will display the Description text when a user hovers over the icon.

The rule builder (Figure 1, right) is organized in a When-If-Then setup; the When section details where your configuration will run, the If section is used to create conditional execution, and the Then section contains the actual configurations. Follow the steps above to add a Live Fields configuration to your Jira instance, then follow these steps:

Note: You must select a field in the Field pulldown to view additional configurations.
The Change custom field name or description action includes the following options:
Field - Select the field to be modified.
Name & Description - Select the modification option (see below) and enter the value that will replace, prepend, or append the existing value.
Clear existing text - Completely remove the value.
End with - Append a value to the end of the existing value.
Keep existing text - Make no changes to the value.
Replace existing text - Completely replace the existing value with a new value.
Start with - Prepend a value to the beginning of the existing value.
Triggers
On load - Run the Scripted action when one of the selected Jira screens loads.
On change - Run the Scripted action when the value of any field in the selected screens changes.
