An overview of Agile Poker’s main components
Interactive session
This session is based on Planning Poker®. Perfect for teams collaborating within the same time zone, it ensures active participation from all team members, regardless of whether they are remote or co-located. The interactive nature of the session encourages consensus-based estimations.
Asynchronous session
This session is based on Wideband Delphi. It’s irreplaceable for distributed teams, but it can also benefit any team seeking asynchronous estimation. This method is highly efficient and fosters consultation-based estimations. Above all, it lets you unlock the potential of collaborative estimation, regardless of geographical boundaries or time constraints.
Relative session
This session is inspired by Magic Estimation Game, also known as “silent grouping” or “affinity estimating”. It can easily be adopted by teams without a big estimation background. It’s perfect for making quick rough estimations of a large batch of work items, but it’s also valuable for a smaller number of work items that require in-depth discussion and detailed estimations.
Bucket Sizing session CLOUD only
This session is based on Swimlane Sizing. This particular approach is tailored for teams with well-established estimation practices, allowing for swift and efficient sessions. It enables teams to rapidly gauge the size and complexity of tasks, utilizing buckets as visual aids.
