JMWE for JIRA Data Center/Server 8.7.0 Release Notes

Release date: Jun 13, 2024

Our team is excited to announce the release of JMWE for Jira Data Center, version 8.7.0.

Enhancements

Enable and disable individual post functions within actions

The JMWE Automation Rule Builder now includes options to disable post-functions within an Action! You can now disable any individual post-function from within the Action itself, enabling faster testing and troubleshooting, modified single runs, or temporary disabling of high volume post-functions.

This update applies to:

Enable and disable individual Conditions and Validators within Shared extensions

The JMWE Automation Rule Builder has also been updated to allow for individual Conditions and Validators to be disabled within Shared extensions.

Cross-app compatibility with ScriptRunner custom fields

JMWE for Jira Data Center has been updated to support accessing ScriptRunner custom fields within post functions! Support for reading ScriptRunner fields includes both no code configurations and accessing the fields through Groovy scripts. Field values can also be copied to other fields, including Jira native fields, if the field values are in compatible formats.

Other Enhancements

JMCA migration support for Comment issue(s)

Migration of Comment issue(s) post functions between Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud has been enhanced to enable better migration of this post function.

Improved logging

Execution logs have been updated to include additional performance metrics.

Improved error messages

Error messages related to JMWE extensions have been improved on issue screens and transition screens.
