Update Linked Issue Field Value With Current Issue post function

This post function lets you update any non-calculated custom fields within a linked issue, with the value from the current issue.

How to add the Update Linked Issue Field Value With Current Issue post function

1. Open the workflow where you want to add the condition and locate the transition you want.

2. Switch to the Post Functions tab.

3. Click the Add post function button.

4. Select JEP - Update Linked Issue Field Value With Current Issue and click the Add button.

5. Fill in the form:

   Open

   

   • Select the custom field to update in the linked issue.

   • Choose the link type connecting the issues.

   • Define the link direction (inward or outward).

   • Decide whether to trigger an Issue Updated event for the updated linked issues.

6. Click the Add button.

   Open

   

7. Publish the workflow.
