Parent Task Field Distributions Chart gadget

The Parent Task Field Distributions Chart gadget is useful when working with subtasks. If your filter returns subtasks (for example, issuetype = subtask), this gadget lets you group them by their parent task's status in a bar chart or pie chart format.

How to add the Parent Task Field Distributions Chart gadget to your dashboard

1. Open the dashboard and click the Add Gadget button.

2. In the gadget search bar, enter JEP - Parent Task Field Distributions.

3. Click the Add gadget button near JEP - Parent Task Field Distributions Bar Chart Gadget or JEP - Parent Task Field Distributions Pie Chart Gadget.

4. Configure the gadget:

   Open

   

   • Project or saved filter: Select a project or a saved filter.

   • Custom gadget title: Enter a title for the gadget as it will appear on your dashboard.

   • Custom field - Field: Either select a custom field or a Jira field for grouping the parent issue.

   • Refresh interval: Select how often you would like this gadget to update.

5. Click Save.
