Flow Essential Setup (guided onboarding)
The Essential setup is a step-by-step guide for new users and current users who have not configured Flow.
It consists of the sequential stages, each unlocking the next. The progress is saved, allowing you (or another permitted user) to complete the process at your own pace.
Currently, once you have completed all steps, the Essential Setup is replaced with the regular settings overview page, which becomes the permanent default view.

Essential setup: An overview
In addition to the sequential approach, the setup includes features designed to enhance the clarity and importance of each step.
Tags
Tags indicate the configuration's complexity, the effort required to complete it, and whether the configuration step is critical to Flow setup. Click the Tag description link at the top of the page to see each tag’s details.
Level of requirement
Required - This step is core to the Flow setup and is required to view data. We recommend not marking this step as complete until you have carried out the required actions.
Recommended - It is best practice to complete this step now, but you can return to it later if needed.
Additional - This is an advanced setting for your specific use case. The Additional settings are optional.
Level of difficulty
High effort - Completion of this step may require prep work, involve multiple people, and require verification from the external vendor.
Medium effort - This setting requires some preparation, but not as much as the High effort setting.
Low effort - This particular configuration requires no preparation.
Processing time
Hours+ - This step could potentially take several hours to complete. Be aware that you may need to return to this step. Also, due to the long processing time, Flow may temporarily display partial data until all data is ingested.
Minutes - This step is not very time-consuming.
Real time - You can complete this step on the spot.
