When using BigPicture during screen sharing, you might notice a slowdown in performance. To help you maintain a smooth experience, we've compiled a list of practical tips to optimize your browser, call settings, and hardware. By following these suggestions, you can enhance BigPicture’s performance and ensure your screen-sharing sessions run more efficiently.

Browser

  • Close unnecessary browser tabs.
    Having too many open tabs can slow down your browser. Close any tabs you don’t need.

  • Uninstall unused extensions.
    Browser extensions can use a lot of resources and slow down your browser. Remove any extensions you don’t use often.

  • Disable hardware acceleration.
    Turn off hardware acceleration in your browser settings to save resources and improve performance.

Call Settings

  • Disable visual effects in screen-sharing apps.
    Turning off animations and visual effects can improve performance during meetings.

  • Turn off other people’s cameras.
    Disabling the video feed of other participants can reduce the load on your system.

  • Turn off your camera.
    If you don’t need to be on video, consider turning off your camera to boost performance.
