This release includes bug fixes and a security improvement for Create on Transition for Jira Data Center.

Bug Fixes

This release includes the following bug fixes:

• Fixed an issue where the Create on Transition post function failed to create a new issue when a required custom field of the Labels type was configured to copy its value from the source issue. Previously, the source issue was updated instead of creating the target issue.

• Fixed required field validation so empty default values are no longer treated as populated values during issue creation.

• Fixed an issue where the Assignee and Reporter fields were not set on issues created by Create on Transition when Jira Service Management was installed but disabled. The app now falls back to standard Jira project permission checks when the Jira Service Management customer context is unavailable, matching the behavior when Jira Service Management isn't installed.

Security Improvements

This release includes the following security improvement:

• Updated the com.fasterxml.jackson.core:jackson-databind dependency to version 2.21.4 or later to address CVE-2026-54512. This update resolves a vulnerability that could allow arbitrary class instantiation through a PolymorphicTypeValidator bypass when processing generic type parameters.
