App access rule

The Atlassian data security policy includes an app access rule to give organizations control over third-party app access to user-generated content within Confluence spaces and Jira projects. This rule allows administrators to limit what third-party apps can access, enhancing data security by ensuring that only authorized apps can interact with sensitive content.

For more details on the app access rule, refer to the App access rule coverage summary Atlassian page.

FAQs

What happens if the app is blocked?

If your Jira administrator has blocklisted Create on Transition for Jira using the app access rule, the app will not function as expected and you will also see warning messages that the app is blocked.

If you want to continue to use the app, contact your Jira administrator to remove the app from the blocklist. For more details, refer to the Block app access Atlassian page.
