Configure field displays and access the Details screen
Learn how to add Salesforce fields to existing objects and customize what Salesforce fields appear in the Details screen, found on the Jira Issue screen.
It also guides you on how to access the Details screen.
Add a Salesforce field to an existing Object
For Jira Cloud:
Select Apps from the left sidebar in Jira.
Next to Connector for Salesforce, click Menu (
) > App settings.
For Jira DC:
Go to Settings>Applications.
Under Connector for Salesforce, select Connections.
On the Salesforce Connections screen, navigate to the Connection you want to configure and select Configure.
On the Connection Configuration screen, navigate to the Salesforce Object desired and click Fields to continue configuration.
In the Salesforce Field search box, enter the Salesforce Field you want to add, and click Add.
Click Apply Changes when all Salesforce fields are added.
When the changes have been applied successfully, the Salesforce Fields you just added are visible on the Details screen.
Access the Details screen
Go to a Jira work item that has already been associated with a Salesforce record.
On the right side of the screen, in the Connector for Salesforce section, click the associated Salesforce record:
Click Details.
The Details screen appears.
