On this page, you’ll learn how to change the header and greeting messages that appear on the Chat Widget.

Important: The changes made here apply to both the Jira Customer Portal and external web sites.

How to Customize Chat Widget Texts

  1. Open the project and click Project Settings > Chat Settings.

  2. Select Widget Functionality.

  1. Click General Settings to reveal the message options:

Header Message: This is the message that’s displayed at the top of the Chat Widget.

 

Greeting Message: This is the message that’s displayed before the customer starts the conversation. If you don’t want to have a Greeting message, uncheck the box.

  1. After making the changes, click Save.
