Release dateNov 13, 2025

Our team is thrilled to announce the latest release of Comala Document Management Data Center.

Confluence Data Center compatibility: v8.5.10 - 9.5.4

Migration Enhancements

Export Metadata is now handled automatically during migration

The “Export metadata” functionality has been removed. Metadata is now automatically migrated through the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant (CCMA), eliminating the need for manual export. The metadata included is:

  • Metadata set with the “set-metadata” trigger action

  • Metadata set with Comala Metadata app page macros

  • Workflow Parameters at page level

Updated data transfer order for DC migration

The transfer order for DC migration has been updated to support the new metadata migration. The migration now follows this sequence:

  1. Global Workflows

  2. Space Workflows and Page State – starts after Global Workflows migration is complete

  3. Document Activity and Metadata – starts after Space Workflows and Page State migration is complete.

Bug Fixes

Queued actions show the correct actor during expiration transitions

Resolved an issue where queued actions triggered during expiration transitions displayed an “anonymous” performer. These actions now correctly show the app user as the actor.

Added support for on-page update trigger event in Workflow Translator

The Workflow Translator now supports the pageupdated trigger event from Data Center and Server workflows. During migration, this event is automatically translated to the Cloud equivalent on-page-updated event.

Set-message action translation does not include the mandatory “title” field

Previously, when translating workflows, the set-message action did not include the mandatory “title” field required in Cloud. As a result, the action failed to execute, and no message was displayed. The Workflow Translator now translates the set-message action from Data Center adding the mandatory “title” field required in Cloud with the value of the message type.

Fixed ClassCastException error when copying pages with attachments

Previously, copying a page with attachments could result in a ClassCastException error. This issue has been fixed. Pages are now copied correctly along with their attachments, and no error traces are logged.

Fixed Workflow Reporter macro rendering issue

Previously, the Workflow Reporter macro did not render as expected due to a missing reporting dependency. The reporting integration now works, and the macro accurately displays the required page information within the designated space.

Mapped user and group parameter values to Cloud equivalents

During migration, metadata linked to workflow parameters of type ‘user' or 'group’ are now mapped to their corresponding Cloud IDs. This ensures that all related workflow parameters on migrated pages retain the correct user and group values in Cloud.
