Apply a space approval
Overview
A space administrator can activate the approval workflow in the app space document approval dashboard to add the approval workflow to all the documents in a space.
Applying and adding the approval workflow to a space overrides all approvals added and applied to individual pages and blog posts as a page approval.
Adding approvals to a space
Choose Approvals from the space tools menu.
In the space tools Approvals dashboard, the Simple Approval Workflow is displayed.
To add and apply the approval workflow to all content in the space
Select the Simple Approval Workflow and move the grey cross slider to green
The Simple Approval Workflow is then active for the space and applied across all the documents in the space.
Space Approvals Configuration
When the space workflow is enabled, options are displayed to initialize the workflow state and clear the workflow history for each page.
Initialize states for the approvals for all pages and blogs using the Utilities drop-down menu
Clear any existing approvals workflow history for the pages in the space
Make the space approval inactive
To remove the approval workflow from across all the documents in the space, access the space tools dashboard and move the enabled tick slider to grey.
Any approval workflow previously applied to individual pages becomes active again. Depending on space activity and whether approval history has been cleared, the individual page states might need to be initialized to an appropriate state. This can be done using the approval workflow state dialog box on each page with an applied approval workflow.
