Post-migration (Data Center to cloud): How to transfer ownership and delete Connectors

This page explains how to transfer ownership and delete connectors on multiple cloud instances after migrating from the Data Center to the Jira cloud.

Post-migration:

The Power BI Jira Connector supports data extraction only on a single Jira cloud instance.

However, when Power BI Jira Connector app data (the next migration or multiple migrations) is migrated from the Data Center to multiple cloud instances, the extraction of Connector data fails on all the Jira cloud instances.

To resolve this, you need to clean up all the cloud instances for Connector data and retain the data on only one single instance from which you intend to extract the Connector data.

The migration of Power BI Jira Connector app data from the Data Center to the cloud should be limited to a few Jira cloud instances, making it easier to perform the necessary cleanup.

  1. The Connector ownership is transferred, and you are the owner of the Connector.

To simplify the process of cleaning the Connector's data across multiple cloud instances:

It is recommended to transfer ownership of the Connectors in the Jira cloud instance after the migration is complete.

It is discouraged to transfer ownership during the migration process, as doing so may result in creating duplicate records in the Jira cloud instance.

Delete the Connector

Follow the below steps to delete the connectors.

  1. To delete the Connector, ensure that you log in with the same Jira administrator user account that was used to transfer the ownership to yourself.

  2. Navigate to Connectors > My Connectors.

  3. To delete the transferred Connector, click Delete.

  1. Click Confirm delete.
