This article explains how to access the parameter "URL to Excel file" in the app Excel for Confluence.


Instructions

Here are the instructions to access the excel file from the specified URL:

  1. Log in as a Confluence Administrator and  >  Add-ons →  Find new apps and search for "Excel for Confluence". 
  2. Ensure you have Excel for Confluence app installed in your Confluence instance.


  3. With any user log in to the confluence, go to the page and add an Excel file. Right-click on the file and select Copy Link Address. Note that this address is different from the URL of the webpage. 

  4. Insert and Edit the Excel macro.

  5. Enter the copied URL in the field "URL to Excel file" and provide the "URL user" and "URL user password" in the respective fields as shown below:


  6. Save the macro settings and publish the page. Below is the output from the macro which is showing the data from the URL:
