This article explains how to create Jira projects in large numbers using Jira Command Line Interface (CLI).
Instructions
- Create a CSV file with required data filled into the columns project, name, lead and template as shown in the following screenshot:
Combine the actions runFromCsv and createProject to create projects in bulk. This example works because the column names in the CSV file are the same as the parameter names for createProject.
--action runFromCsv --file "bulkProjects.csv" --common "--action createProject"
It is recommended to test this scenario in a test environment before implementing it in production.
