Manage project configurations in Jira Cloud

Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ) Cloud continues the proven traditions and technologies of CMJ Server for the best Jira configuration and change management solution. With CMJ Cloud, you can deploy project configurations to a destination Jira Cloud site, including their related custom fields, workflows, schemes, boards, and more.

In a nutshell, with the CMJ Cloud app, you can accomplish the following use cases:

Visit the Use Cases documents to learn more about CMJ Cloud’s uses.

Deploy project configurations between Jira Cloud sites

Managing several Jira Cloud sites can be a hassle and may often lead to unintended instance mismatches that throw your entire system workflow off balance.

Well, CMJ Cloud is a solution that allows you to:

  • deploy entire projects and their related configuration elements to a destination Jira Cloud site and

  • make changes to the existing projects and configuration elements in the destination Jira Cloud site during deployment.

Visit the configuration deployment documentation to learn how to use CMJ Cloud.

Supported configuration elements

If you want to check the complete list of Jira Cloud configuration elements the app is able to deploy to another Jira Cloud site, see our documentation.

Migrate from Jira Server/Data Center to Jira Cloud

If you’ve decided to migrate to Jira Cloud and are looking for a reliable way to make this critical move, check what the CMJ Cloud app can do. Pair it with our Cloud Migration Tool app to safely migrate your teams' projects, configuration elements, and issues from Jira Server/DC to the cloud.

Visit the Use Cases section in the documentation to learn more about migrating from Jira Server/DC to the cloud.

Pair CMJ Cloud with Cloud Migration Tool

First, you must install the Cloud Migration Tool on your Jira Server/DC instance and Configuration Manager for Jira Cloud on your site.

After that, you can create a connection between your Jira Server/DC instance and the Jira Cloud site using the Cloud Migration Tool’s UI. This connection will allow you to migrate desired projects and their issues to the cloud site.

Follow the migration process described in the Cloud Migration Tool’s documentation.
