As a Workplace user, you want to update the status of a Jira issue. The connector can assist you to update the status of the Jira issue based on the Jira workflow used in the project. There are two ways to update the Jira issue status with the Workplace Chat shortcode.
Updating status field by mentioning the bot name
The current status of the issue is displayed as part of the group's name.
Mention the bot name, for example, "@bot-name" in your Workplace chat.
Click the Update Status option. The bot will reply with the available statuses to choose from.
Click the status of your choice. The issue's status will update. For this example, "In Progress" is chosen.
The Workplace chatroom name will reflect the new status.
