The Global Attributes page allows App Administrators to manage and configure the enabled global attributes for their asset types or asset type schemes.

Create a Global Attributes Scheme:
To create a new Global Attributes Scheme, follow these steps:
1. Open AIP, and navigate to Settings > Global Attributes.
2. Click the + Global Attributes Scheme button. The Create Global Attributes Scheme screen appears.
3. Enter a unique name and description for the new Global Attributes Scheme.
4. Enable the attributes you wish to use by checking the boxes next to the appropriate attributes. You can also mark any enabled attributes as required by checking the Required box.
5. Click Save.
Assign a Global Attributes Scheme to an Asset Type Collection:
Once you have created a new global attributes scheme, you can assign it to specific asset type collections by following these steps:
1. Open AIP, and on the top navigation bar, click Asset Type Collections.
2. Click the three-dot icon next to the collection you want to assign the new global attributes scheme to.
3. Click Edit, and the editing screen for the asset type collection will appear.
4. Pick the global attributes scheme you created from the Global Attributes dropdown menu.
5. Click Save.
Assigning a Global Attributes Scheme to an Asset Type:
If you picked “Collection’s global attribute scheme” for the asset types you’ve created, they will inherit this global attribute scheme change. If not, here is how to assign a new global attribute scheme to an asset type:
1. On the Asset Type Collections page, open the asset type collection you want to modify.
2. Select the asset type that you wish to assign the permissions scheme to.
3. Click the three-dot icon next to the asset type you want to assign the new global attribute scheme to.
4. Click Edit, and the editing screen for the asset type will appear.
5. Pick the global attribute scheme you created from the Global Attributes dropdown menu.
6. Click Save.
