The app is more commonly used when creating multiple language pages. With Language Switch for Confluence, you will be able to pre-define language pages and switch from one language page (e.g. English) to a different preferred language page (e.g. Italian, Spanish, French, among many others) easily.

Language Switch is using Confluence labels to identify the version of the page and its related pages.

The label is created using this format:

<Prefix>_<PageIdentifier>_<Language>
<Prefix>The prefix is always page
<PageIdentifier>This is the common identifier which must be used on all related pages, e.g. product.
<Language>Identifies the Language of the Page using ISO 639-1 two-letter codes, as defined in the Configuration.
