How to retrieve the macro usage for Advanced Tables for Confluence app in the Cloud

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step guide for Confluence administrators to locate pages where the "Advanced Tables for Confluence" app's macros are used in cloud instances.

Instructions:

Step 1: Log in as a Confluence Administrator

  • Ensure you have administrative privileges to access the required settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Settings

  • Click on the Cogwheel (⚙️) icon in the top right corner of the Confluence interface.

  • In the left-side settings menu, scroll down to the Data Management section.

  • Select ‘Macro Usage’ within the ‘Data Management' section, as illustrated in the screenshot below:

Step 3: View Macro Details

  • In the Macro Usage section, you will see a list of macros used in your Confluence instance.

  • Locate the macro names associated with the Advanced Tables app, such as:

    • table-plus

    • attachment-table

    • CSV

    • json-table

  • Click on any of these macro names to view a list of all pages where the selected macro is used.

Step 4: Analyze Macro Usage

  • The macros are grouped since they utilize XHTML content. This grouping lets you quickly identify all pages where the Advanced Tables macros are implemented.

  • If you do not find any entries related to "Advanced Tables" under Macro Usage, these macros are not currently used within your Confluence Cloud environment.
