Overview

From version 8.21.0 onwards, Scaffolding allows Confluence administrators to set the default limit for List Data items. The processing stops when this limit is exceeded, and an error message is displayed.

Understand List Data limitations

The List Data macro provides data options from a specific list. However, processing a large number of List Data items when used with the check or select type may cause performance issues for Confluence.

If there are many items, it can be tedious for users to select an option from a long list of radio buttons, checkboxes, or dropdown menus. Setting List Data with the auto-complete type is more appropriate in that use case.

Enable or disable the List Data limit

This feature is enabled by default when upgrading to Scaffolding 8.21.0. The default limit value is 250.

  1. Go to (blue star) > Manage apps.

  2. In the sidebar, choose Settings under SCAFFOLDING CONFIGURATION.

  3. To change settings, choose Edit.
