Jira gadgets can also be used outside Jira dashboards in Confluence and Wallboards.
Confluence
Other applications, such as Atlassian Confluence, can be configured to use gadgets published by a Jira server. If the Confluence server is configured correctly, you can include Rich Filter Gadgets in Confluence pages. Just like on dashboards, controller gadgets on a Confluence page will affect all other gadgets on the same page that use the same rich filter.
The mechanism used by Confluence to display Jira gadgets can also be used by other applications. The rich filter gadgets might work there as well, but we have not tested this.
Wallboards
All rich filter gadgets have support for Jira wallboards. When displayed on a wallboard, they function the same, but will adapt the display to the light-on-dark color scheme. All rich filter gadget automatically refresh every 15 minutes when displayed in wallboard mode.
