Navigate to Cog Wheel > General Configuration > Troubleshooting and support tools.
Select the Create support zip tab and click on customize zip.
Enable only the “confluence application logs” option from the “customize zip” popup window. Below is the summary of files explaining what is included in the support zip:
Limit file sizes -Limits the size of files to 25MB.This
means that larger files, like log files, will be truncated.Health checks - Includes results of previous health checks.
Tomcat logs -Includes log files stored in the installation directory, such as catalina.out and GC logs.
Authentication configuration - Includes authentication configuration files such as atlassian-user.xml, osuser.xml, and crowd.properties.
Confluence configuration - includes confluence.cfg.xml, log config, and startup scripts.
Confluence customizations - Includes velocity templates, custom HTML and custom CSS.
Confluence application logs - Includes all logs contained in the home directory.
Synchrony configuration - Includes synchrony-args.properties file.
Cache configuration - Includes any cache configuration properties files.
Tomcat configuration - Includes Apache Tomcat configuration files such as server.xml and web.xml.
Click on “Save” and then click on Create zip option.
Once the support zip is generated, click Download zip.
Thread dumps - Generates three thread dumps at 5-second intervals for performance analysis.
