Click the Jira cog icon > Issues > Workflows.
After finding the workflow, go to the three-dots icon and click Edit. Navigate to the transition of your workflow.
Switch to the Conditions tab.
Click the Add condition button.
Select JEP - Previous Status Condition and click the Add button.
Fill in the configuration screen:
Select the status to restrict that issue which should be in this status any time before in order to allow the transition.
Enable the Look for just before current status option, if you want the most recent status to be the same as the selected one. For instance, if this option is enabled and the In Review status is selected, the issue's most recent status should be In Review to allow the transition. Otherwise (if the option is not enabled), it is OK to be in the In Review status any time before this transition.
Click Add, and you’ll be redirected to the Conditions list.
Don’t forget to click Publish Draft to publish the workflow and save your changes.
