Instructions
- Log in as a Confluence administrator.
- Navigate to > Add-ons > Find new apps and search for "Excel for Confluence". Ensure you have Excel for Confluence app installed in your confluence Confluence instance.
Go to the page where you want to copy the URL, below is the example of an attachment URL by right-clicking and Copy the Link address. - Log in as any user in your Confluence instance and add an Excel file to a page as required.
- Right-click the file and select Copy Link Address. Note that this address is different from the URL of the webpage.
- Insert and Edit the Excel macro.
Enter the below details and click on Preview.

the copied URL in the URL to Excel file field, and, provide the username and password in the URL user and URL user password fields respectively.
