The permission scope change enables us to access the email address associated with your Atlassian account. This is required for the email opt-in option feature included in this release. Please be assured that we will not start collecting email addresses and you will not receive email communication without your deliberate consent. Email contact is a privacy option for our customers that you can enable or disable on the Settings page in JSU.

This latest release requires a manual update. Updating will also ensure you receive future product improvements and new features. In your Jira instance, go to Apps > Manage Appsyour apps > JSU then click Update. Once you update JSU, you can opt-in to email notifications from our Product team.

2. Email opt-in feature |
This release includes the email notification opt-in feature. Once you update the app manually, an in-app message displays the option to receive emails from our Product team with the latest news, security notifications, and occasional feedback requests. Choose Notify me to grant permissions to JSU and enable the option, or, Not now to dismiss the notification without enabling the option.
