The following steps demonstrate how to create and reuse the content using the LaTeX Math Block, LaTeX Math Block Reference, and LaTeX Math List of Equations (Math Blocks) macro features:
Image Removed 1️⃣ | Create an equation Navigate to the project thesis and click edit. Go to the content where you need to insert the formula. Type ‘/' and search for the LaTeX Math Block macro or use the '+’ option in the main toolbar and search for the LaTeX Math Block macro. Select the LaTeX Math Block macro. Type the equation in LaTeX formatted math. A preview is generated. Choose the centre alignment from the drop-down menutop right corner options. Specify an anchor. By specifying the anchor you can refer to the equation on a different page or the same page. Click Insert.
Note |
---|
Specify the right names for each of the anchor that is created across the page so that you can reference them on a different page or the same page. |

Image Removed 2️⃣ | Link the equation Add the LaTeX Math Block Reference macros to refer to the formula on the different page(s) or the same page: Navigate to the location where you want to refer to the formula. Type ‘/' and search for the LaTeX Math Block Reference macro or use the '+’ option in the editor’s main toolbar and search for the LaTeX Math Block Reference macro. Select the LaTeX Math Block Reference macro. Specify the anchor of the equation that you mentioned earlier in step one.
You must remember the anchor of the equation. Make sure you mention the relevant anchor name so you can remember easily to refer to them whenever required.Select the Confluence page. In this example, we leave the page blank as the equation is created on the current page. The reference is automatically updated. Click Update.

Image Removed 4️⃣ | Create a list of equations Add the LaTeX Math List of Equations (Math Blocks) macros to create a list of formulas used in the thesis.
Only the equations created by the LaTeX Math Block macro and if you have specified anchor will appear on the list.Navigate to the location where you want to create the list of equations referred to in the thesis. Type ‘/' and search for the LaTeX Math List of Equations (Math Blocks) macro or use the '+’ option in the editor’s main toolbar and search for the LaTeX Math List of Equations (Math Blocks). Select the LaTeX Math List of Equations (Math Blocks). Select the Confluence page. (Optional) Check the Include children check box. In this example, we do not choose to display the equations from the child page. (Optional) Check the Show anchor check box. In this example, we choose to display the anchor name. The list is automatically displayed. Click Update.
