Introduction
There may be Markers highlight important dates, such as events or deadlines. They remind you about dates that call for special care and or attention. You can highlight them using a marker, whatever they may be: from an important external event to a deadline, you name it. You can see markers only in BigPicture. Markers are visible on the timeline of the following modules:

You need at least the Box editor security role to add, edit, and remove markers.
Live sync on markers

New markers are instantly displayed in the Gantt module when live synchronization is on.
To enable live synchronization:
Open BigPicture.
Go to App settings (wrench icon in the top right corner)> General > Live sync

> Markers.
Activate the Enable Live sync on markers
...
toggle.
Click Save.
Display markers
The Board, Objectives, and Calendar modules display markers by default.
To see markers in the Gantt module, you need to enable them first. To do this, click on the timeline options button ". . ." :

Inherited markers
Markers are inherited by subSub-boxes inherit markers so that all the important dates are clearly visible to users.

To add a new marker in the Gantt module:
Make sure that markers are enabledOpen the Gantt module.
Hover the mouse above the timeline date area.
When you see a blue indicator with a plus the + icon, click on that.
Complete the details:
Provide a name.
Adjust the date.
Add the description (optional).
Change the color (optional).
When ready, click "Create".
