Solution
Remove the leading /or trailing spaces from the custom field name by performing the following the below steps:
- Goto Navigate to Jira application's Cogwheel → Fields → Custom fields → The custom field name → Edit.Check s > Issues.
- In the left sidebar, click Custom fields under the Fields section.
- In the list of custom fields, navigate to the required custom field and click > Edit.
- In the Field Name, verify if there are any leading /or trailing spaces in the name. If so, remove the spaces and save update the custom field.
See the below following image for a custom field name which that has trailing spaces.:
