Additional validators enable you to consider various factorsdifferent formats and input criteria.

1. To create new validator go a new validator, go to Jira Administration > Issues > Workflows.

2. Click Workflows. Click Edit for certain a Project you'd like to add validator to.

3. Select a Diagram view.

4. Select the transition you'd like to add validator to and click it. Configuration panel appears. Select  
   Select Validators.

5.  Click Add validator.

6. Select validator type you'd like. Click a validator and click Add.

7. Add parameters to validator . Click Add.

8. To save changes, click Publish Draft.

9. That's it. Now the transition requires saved criteria to be valid.
