There is no workaround for this issue right now, but hopefully, Atlassian will resolve this limitation in the near future. We recommend using Confluence Server (version 4 and greater) if possible, as it does not have this limitation. There are 3rd party vendors specializing in hosting Confluence Server (i.e., Contengix) if you don't have an IT department or in-house server.

This performance issue is usually encountered when there are multiple MultiExcerpt macros on a page and the macros are static. The optimal method to resolve this issue is to convert these macros to their dynamic counterparts - i.e. MultiExcerpt Advanced macros. Refer to the MultiExcerpt macro page to understand macro usage.
