Public comment means that the comment is visible to all Jira users and not restricted to any user, group or role.

Comment User Custom Field
- Navigate to to Jira Admin > Add-ons Manage Apps > Enhancer Plugin For Jira Menu > Custom Field Configuration and go to the User tabFields (JEP).
- Click on the

button.Fill in the dialog box:
- Pick JEP - Click on the User/Group tab on the left-hand side of the dialogue.
- Navigate to and click on First Public Comment User or JEP - Last Public Comment User in the , then click Add custom field drop-down menu..
- Fill in the dialog box:
- Create a name for the custom field.
- Create a name for the custom field.
- And then click on the Add Custom Save Custom Field button. That's it.
This custom field can be used to sort or search in issue navigator.
