For Multiexcerpt - Cloud: When you have a MultiExcerpt or MultiExcerpt Include on the same page at a Table of Contents and have a line of heading text it does not show as one would expect in the Atlassian Table of Contents macro This happens only in the new fabric(V2) page editor. It works for the old editor. This is only an issue in Confluence Cloud. Atlassian has announced that they will NOT remove the legacy page editor from Confluence so you can use that editor: Attlassian says, "The legacy editor isn't going anywhere" |
Why it Happens
This happens due to the order in which Atlassian allows the content of the page to render.
Workaround
Create your page in the Legacy editor. Atlassian has announced that they will NOT remove the legacy page editor from Confluence, so you can use that editor as a workaround. If your Cloud instances do not have the capability to create "old" pages, then contact Atlassian support directly to request that they add that capability to your Cloud instances. Sadly, this This is a limitation of the new editing experience recently introduced by Atlassian for Confluence Cloud. We have been exploring options to work around this unfortunate design decision by the Confluence team but have not yet decided on a path forward. We would be interested in learning more about your use case to help guide that decision-making. Please contact us via our support portal if you would like to participate. |
