We suggest you do it regularly - weekly or monthly to keep OKRs in mind when doing your daily work. The updates history will be helpful during the OKR review meetings and when preparing any OKR-related reports.

  1. Go to the KR page.

  2. Click on the “Post an update” “Update” button.

  3. Select a date. By default, the date is set to today, but you can change it to a past date and/or time.

  4. Choose the current status of the KR.

  5. Change the value. It will be the number shown on the progress chart after you post the update.

  6. Write a short description of the progress done on the KR and add any information that might be relevant to others.

  7. Click on the “Post” “Update” button.

  8. Your update post should appear in the “Updates” section, and both the current value and the percent of progress will be updated in all places containing this information.


Updating from Not started status

If you’re updating a KR from a Not started status to a different one, you will be prompted with a dialog asking if you’d like to update the parent objective as well. That can help you speed up “Starting” all items that are above the KR if you’re updating just the KRs on a regular basis.

If you’d like to update the objective, its update dialog will appear with the same status and description as you’ve chosen on the KR.
