The "In Progress" Status Counter Custom Field calculates how many times the issue has been in the In Progress status.
To create

an "In Progress" Status Counter Custom Field
- Navigate to Jira Admin > Manage Apps > Enhancer Plugin For Jira Menu > Custom Field Configuration and switch to Counter tabFields (JEP).
- Click on
the 
buttonFill the dialog
- Pick JEP - In Progress Counter in custom field drop down.
- Give a name to the custom field
- Click on the Counter tab on the left-hand side of the dialogue.
- Click on "In Progress" Status Counter then click Add custom field.
- Fill in the dialog box:
- Create a name for the custom field.
- The Status field will automatically be set to In Progress. You can change it accordingly, and you can even select multiple statuses.
- Create a name for the custom field.
- Click Add on the Save Custom Field button.
This custom field can be used to sort or search in issue navigator.
