4. Analytics:

Chat for JSM comes with inbuilt analytics. We only collect statistical and/or anonymous add-on usage data, which helps our team optimize the solution and implement even better future versions. This includes, but is not limited to: your IP address, the type of internet browsers you use, your license number (SEN), and information about the way in which you use Chat for JSM.

Here, you can enable or disable this feature. We encourage you to keep it enabled, as anonymous usage data drives our improvement decisions.

Learn more about analytics and our data policy here.

5. Default Chat:

Here, you can select your default Chat project. The Chat widget of your default project will be displayed on the main page of the customer portal. If no project is selected, Chat will be unavailable on the main page and will instead be available on portals for individual projects.

Let’s say you’ve picked Appfire Service Desk as the default Chat project. In this case, when a customer sends you a message using the widget on the Help Center main page, it’s going to be Appfire Service Desk’s Chat Widget. The created tickets will appear on this project’s Chat Dashboard.

6. Privacy Link:

Regulations (such as GDPR) may require you to present a customer with information about your privacy policy when they register with you and provide sensitive information. Here, you can provide the URL of your privacy statement, which will be displayed in the Chat Widget’s registration dialog, and the Pre-Chat Form (if it’s enabled).
