This article explains how to create an issue in different projects using the Create On Transition for Jira app. In this article, we considered This article presents creating an issue in another project based on the components selectedcomponent selection.

Instructions

Consider a Component  Component with values as component1 and component2 Component2 in the respective project.

  1. Add Add a post function to -function to the intended transition to create a sub-task. Navigate
    To add post-function, navigate to Cogwheel > Issues > Workflows > select the workflow of the project and edit, to add post function.
  2. Select Create Issue post function as shown below:

  3. Select the Detailed Fields tab and select your respective project under which you wish to create the new issue and also . Also select the other fields as per the requirementrequired.

  4. Select the Conditions & Configuration section and tab and add %parent_components% and to Condition 1 and component1 to a Regex the respective Regular expression pattern.

  5. Click Update to save the settings. Verify the condition:

    In the same way as step2 and step3, step4 and step5 for creating Image Added
  6. Use step# 2 through step# 5 to create an issue in a different project when component2 is selected. So that it It looks similar to the below screenshot:

  7. Publish the workflow draft.
  8. Perform the transition Awaiting CAB Approval as shown and issues will be are created based on the condition.
